Conversion Optimization Certification Complete
During the last quarter of 2015, I was trained by Peep Laja, founder of ConversionXL and a Conversion Optimization expert and speaker. I’d seen him speak at conferences and am a long-time reader of his in-depth blog posts.
It quickly became apparent that CRO is more about revenue conversion than rate of conversion. For example, if I lower an item’s price, the conversion rate is likely to go up. That doesn’t mean the business can turn a profit. Revenue, in the form of sales or leads, is the key component.
It’s about research – what the data and the customers are saying
Training consisted of an intensive online course plus live webinars focused on conversion optimization; growth of revenue and leads.
During the course, an actual ecommerce site served as practical experience for conversion research and A/B tests; all with the intent of raising business revenues and decreasing site visitor abandonment.
At the end of the training, a day long test was administered that required demonstrable, practical knowledge as well as theory. I’m excited to say: I’m a ConversionXL Certified Optimizer!
